BTH or Bharat Tourist Home commenced its operations in the hospitality industry with the Bharat Hotel back in 1964. With Mr. B.Govinda Rao, a reputed name in the traditional catering business of South Indian vegetarian cuisine, at its helm, Bharat Hotel was a name that had come to stay. Classified then as an Economy Udupi Hotel, with a 30-room accommodation facility, 40-seat South Indian vegetarian restaurant and a conference hall, Bharat Hotel quickly evolved into a full-fledged business-class hotel.

The Hotel today attracts business travelers, middle level executives, planters and tourists including North Indians and Foreigners as well, for its comfortable accommodation, finest amenities and services, pure and exotic vegetarian cuisine, world-class business facilities etc.

Bharat Hotel offers the finest accommodation facilities with a host of 87 elegantly furnished guest rooms and executive suites spread over five floors, to ensure luxury and comfort to travelers, whether on business or leisure. 

Some of the in-built facilities in our guest rooms include direct dial telephones, individual thermostat control for air-conditioning, running hot/cold water, television with variety of channels etc.

RESTAURANT AND BAR

Bharat Hotel offers a fine dining experience to its customers, with its pure vegetarian delights. There are three types of restaurants within the Hotel. They are:

Subhiksha (Air Conditioned)
Subhiksha brings you a gourmet's spread of delightful North Indian Vegetarian Cuisine. The restaurant has an aesthetic décor with sophisticated furnishing and soft lighting, complemented with fine classical music that allow customers to enjoy their meal, drink in the surroundings and experience the real taste of life.

Kempu-The Coffee Shop
It's the perfect place for snacks,Fillers or to sip a hot coffee/tea in the wee hours of dawn.

The 24 Hour Coffee Shop
The Coffee Shop at the BTH Lobby is open almost round the clock and is the perfect place to take a quick snack, digest some fillers midway business or sip a frosted drink in the wee hours of dawn.

Samsar I
Fully air-conditioned, elegantly furnished and comfortable, Samsar I provides an excellent backdrop for winners on their celebration night or for an important business meeting…the possibilities in fact are unlimited.

Samsar II
Samsar II is where aesthetics and efficiency go hand in hand. This air-conditioned hall caters to a larger audience.

Samsar
Samsar is essentially Samsar I and Samsar II combined together into a larger facility by retracting dividers. It is fully air-conditioned, elegantly furnished & comfortable. The hotel provides facilities to help you organize a conference or a management meeting.

Aangan
A massive hall, this facility has been appropriately called the ‘Aangan’ because it serves as the courtyard with a picturesque view of the sea and the harbour. The Aangan is flexible in its arrangements, so you can alter the décor to suit the occasion. Whether a reception, festive occasion , anyway you look at it, this hall is quite the right place to make your celebration or moment of glory last forever.

Sowbhagh
Sowbhagh is a non air-conditioned hall ideal for marriage or engagement receptions, club parties, get-togethers and business conferences or seminars.

Pradarshan
An air-conditioned hall located on the ground floor of the hotel, Pradarshan is a magnificent venue for conducting exhibitions and small get together parties.
